The Go Roam service is available in more than 70 countries worldwide, including 49 Go Roam in Europe destinations, and is designed for UK customers visiting a destination for short trips, such as holidays or business trips. Use Go Roam Around the World to make calls and texts to the UK, and to get online with your data allowances. Each month, your UK data allowance allows you to use up to 12GB. If you exceed this data usage limit in Go Roam destinations, your data usage may be blocked until your next billing period.
If your allowance includes more than 5,000 texts, you can send up to 5,000 texts back to the UK each month, unless you're on New Pay As You Go, in which case you can send only 3000 texts back each month.
If you have 3,000 minutes or more in your allowance, you can make calls to standard UK landlines or mobiles for up to 3,000 minutes each month.
Go Roam is intended for our UK customers, who are UK residents visiting one of the destinations for short periods, like holidays or business trips.
If you roam exclusively in one or more of Go Roam's destinations for two months in a rolling 12-month period (including both Go Roam in Europe and Go Roam Around the World), we may suspend international roaming on your account, which means you will no longer be able to use your phone or device abroad. Of course, we’ll let you know in advance if this is likely to happen.
If you spend a full month abroad but some of that time is spent in a destination that isn’t included in Go Roam, this fair use policy won’t apply.
For Pay Monthly customers who joined or upgraded on or after 1 October 2021, there’s a daily roaming charge to unlock your UK allowances for 24 hours in Go Roam destinations. The charge starts when you use any of your allowances in a Go Roam destination including making calls, sending texts or using data. It’s £2 in Go Roam in Europe and £5 in Go Roam Around the World destinations. This will not affect Pay Monthly customers whose plan started before 1 October 2021, or Pay As You Go customers. The Republic of Ireland and Isle of Man are excluded from the daily roaming charge. Our fair use policies apply.
