Fraud checks

Three has a responsibility to prevent and detect fraud for the protection of our customers and our business.

Therefore, Three may check and share your personal information with fraud prevention agencies or other companies and organisations to help prevent and detect fraud.

If we reasonably believe that you have supplied us with false or inaccurate information, or if we suspect fraud, we may delay your connection or suspend your access to the Three service until an investigation has been completed to our satisfaction.

To support the prevention and detection of fraud, Three may check and share your personal information with fraud prevention agencies such as Action Fraud and Cifas.

If you provide us with false or inaccurate information, or if we suspect fraud, we will record and pass these details to fraud prevention agencies. Records held by fraud prevention agencies will also be used by us and other organisations to help prevent fraud and money laundering. For example, this may occur when checking details on applications for credit or other facilities, managing credit and credit-related accounts or facilities, recovering debt, checking details on proposals and claims for all types of insurance, and checking job applications and employees.

The fraud prevention agencies may also disclose information to law enforcement where requested and necessary for the investigation of a crime.

We and other organisations may access and use the information recorded by fraud prevention agencies. This activity is not limited to access and use in the UK.

We may also pass and share information to other communications service providers, network operators, and other approved partners for the purposes of detection and prevention of theft and fraud.
