Communications data
Information about the routing of services, calls, and messages you make and receive, the date, time duration, and cost of these, and information about the identity of your device and SIM.
Consent
How you can control how we can process your personal data, such as, but not limited to, your marketing preferences. Read about consent.
Cookies
Small pieces of information, stored in simple text files, placed on your computer by a website. Read about cookies.
Data Controller
Determines the purpose and means of how personal data will be processed.
Data Subject Access Request (DSAR)
One of Your Rights under UK GDPR, giving you the right of access to information an organisation holds about you. Read about DSAR.
The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018)
Sets out the framework for data protection law in the UK. It sits alongside and supplements the UK GDPR.
UK GDPR
Sets out the key principles, rights, and obligations for most types of processing personal data in the UK.
Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
The UK’s independent body set up to uphold information rights. See http://www.ico.org.uk
Location data
Data indicating the geographical location of your device when using Three Services or when your device is switched on.
Messaging services
Any email, fax, and voicemail services, text (SMS) and multimedia messaging services (MMS), personal information management, and other message or communication facilities which let you communicate with others.
PECR (Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations)
Regulations that sit alongside the Data Protection Act and the UK GDPR. They give people specific privacy rights in relation to electronic communications.
Personal information, also your personal information or data, or PII (Personal Identifiable Information)
Information that is about you and which identifies you.
Processor (data processor)
Responsible for processing personal data on behalf of the Controller.
