Marketing and keeping you informed
Marketing and keeping you informed
From time to time, we like to send our customers information about new products and services – or special offers – that may be of interest to them. We may also share carefully selected information and offers from our partners and may also use our customer data to better understand how our services and network are being used by you, our customers. You have the right to opt out of these uses of your personal information.
Please be aware that there are some messages that we’re obliged to send you, even if you opt out of marketing messages. These may include messages about your contract, information about your bills, or if there’s a problem with the network.
Use of your personal information
Keeping you informed:
We would like to keep you informed about Three’s services, developments, pricing tariffs, special offers, and any discounts or awards which we believe may be of personal interest to you, or which you may be entitled to.
We may do this by sending messages directly to you by phone, post, and by electronic messaging such as phone, text and picture messages, email, voice audio and videomail, as controlled by your preferences.
Working with partners:
Sometimes, we’d also like to tell you about the products and special promotions of carefully selected partners (subject to your preferences) and send you advertising and marketing information from them. If you don’t consent to this, we won’t pass control of your information to the third party concerned.
We may also share anonymised and aggregated data with third parties for analysis and insight in relation to the use of the Three network and its services.
Other uses:
We may also use your personal information:
- For market research and surveys.
- To carry out activities necessary for the running of our business (such as system testing, network monitoring, staff training, quality control, and any legal proceedings).
- To carry out activities or disclosures to comply with any regulatory, government, or legal requirement.
We may also enter your name, address, and phone number in a publicly available directory enquiry service and directories operated by us or by a licensed third-party operator, such as BT, subject to your preferences and only where you have given us permission.
Managing your consent
There is more information in the Consent section on how to manage your preferences.
