Sharing your personal information

To enable us to fulfil our contract with you, and to meet our legal obligations, there are times when it’ll be necessary for us to share your personal information with certain third parties for processing. We may share your personal information for the following reasons:

  • To ensure the performance of any contract we enter into with you – for example, credit checking and customer satisfaction surveys.
  • To enable us to carry out legitimate business activities.
  • For the purposes of preventing and detecting fraud, money laundering, and criminal activity.

To do this, your personal information may be processed by:

  • Our business partners, suppliers and sub-contractors.
  • Other members of our Group.
  • Other professional advisers (including accountants and lawyers).
  • Police and other law enforcement agencies.
  • Other external agencies and organisations (including the National Crime Agency).

Your personal information may also be processed by other third parties if we’re under a duty to disclose or share it for reasons such as:

  • To comply with any legal obligation or the instructions of a regulatory body (including in connection with a court order).
  • To enforce or apply the terms of any agreements we have with – or otherwise concerning – you (including agreements between you and us).
  • To protect our rights, property or safety of our customers, employees or other third parties.

We may also disclose your personal information if we buy or sell any business or assets, or if we – or substantially all our assets – are acquired by a third party.

We may also share limited, pseudonymised information with third parties such as Google or Facebook, to ensure you are not included in marketing campaigns that are not relevant to you or to find new audiences who have similar tastes to you. We may also share your information to tailor our messages on social media platforms if you consent to targeting cookies. The information we share will be hashed so that it is not easily identifiable and is more secure.
