Three Device Security - Privacy Policy

Three Device Security powered by Bitdefender (the "App") is available to Three customers to help provide enhanced security when you browse online on one mobile device.

To enable this service, Customers acknowledge that:

1.       Three will be the Data Controller in respect of managing your billing for the App and providing initial support for any account or technical queries you may have.  We will process your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy https://www.three.co.uk/privacy-safety/about-privacy.Three will share your personal information limited to name, telephone number and / or email address with Bitdefender for the purpose of enabling and activating your access to the App.Should you require technical support we may share further information with Bitdefender to support us in resolving any technical queries. The data shared will be limited to that information need to resolve the technical query.

2.       Bitdefender will be a Data Controller in respect of data collected when providing the technical support and of the data generated through your use of, including the provisioning of the App.  By using the App You accept the terms set out in Bitdefender’s privacy policy, relating to the processing of your personal information http://www.bitdefender.com/site/view/legal-privacy.html   
 
Bitdefender may process the location of the device exclusively for the purpose of offering the Web Protection feature and for Android devices, the Anti-theft feature. Bitdefender does not store details regarding the location or online activities, nor does it share them with other parties.

You agree and accept that:

a.       Bitdefender will not share with Three any data which it collects from your device through the App and that Three will not be informed of any results or information provided to you through the App;

b.      Bitdefender may, through the use of certain programs or products, use data collection technology to capture technical information (including suspect files), to improve their products, and to provide related services, and to prevent the unlicensed or illegal use of the product or the damages resulting from the malware products;

c.       the security technology used in the App may scan the pages and activity on your to detect any malware. The scans completed are anonymous and do not identify you as an individual.

d.      Bitdefender may provide updates and/or additions to the product which will automatically download to your device, and you agree to upload the executable files for the purpose of being scanned by the Bitdefender servers.
