If you're on Pay As You Go, you need to have enough credit to buy an Add-on. If you're a Pay Monthly customer, the cost of your Add-on will be taken from your monthly bill.
Pay Monthly customers can purchase multiple Add-ons, but each one can only be active once per billing cycle. For example, if you buy a data Add-on during one billing cycle, you won't be able to buy the same data Add-on again during the same billing period. However, you can buy multiple different Add-ons per billing cycle.
You can buy an Add-on in the Three app or on My3. No data? No problem. The Three app works even when you’ve run out.
Important: Data Add-ons aren’t charged pro-rata. This means that you’ll be charged the full amount – and get the full data allowance – no matter when you buy one.
For example:
You have 1 day left of your billing cycle and buy a Monthly Boost 6GB Add-on for £10. You’ll be charged the full £10 and get the full 6GB of data to use until your new billing cycle starts.
How long an Add-on lasts depends on which you’ve chosen and what plan you’re on.
For Pay Monthly customers, all Add-ons except our Short-Term Boost and One Day Boost renew automatically until cancelled.
For Pay As You Go customers, Add-ons typically last for one month from the date of purchase. You can check the app for more details.
You can check which Add-ons you have, see which ones are available to you, and buy Add-ons on our app.
You also log in to My3 and select Allowance then Add-ons. The price you'll see for short-term Add-ons is a one-off cost until the end of the billing month. Long-term Add-ons have a monthly recurring cost.
No. So long as you have a data allowance, you can use your Personal Hotspot to share data with other devices. Learn more about Personal Hotspots.
