If you joined or upgraded after October 2021, depending on your plan, you’ll have up to 56 Daily Roaming passes included in your plan annually. After this, we’ll charge £7 to unlock your call, text, and data allowance up to a 12GB fair usage limit for 24 hours in a Go Roam Around the World Extra destination.

Review your Spend Cap before leaving the UK to ensure you can pay the roaming charges. A Spend Cap limits how much you spend over your monthly plan.

With Go Roam, you can:

  • Use up to 12GB of data from your monthly plan
  • Use up to 3000 minutes from your monthly plan to call UK standard landline and mobile numbers or your voicemail
  • Make calls for £1.40 per minute to standard landline or mobile numbers in a Go Roam Around the World Extra destination

If you joined or upgraded after October 2021, depending on your plan, you’ll have up to 56 Daily Roaming passes included in your plan annually. After this, we’ll charge £2 to unlock your UK call, text, and data allowance up to a 12GB fair usage limit for 24 hours in a Go Roam in Europe destination.

Review your Spend Cap before leaving the UK to ensure you can pay the roaming charges. A Spend Cap limits how much you can spend over your monthly plan.

If you live close to the Northern Irish border, you may connect to a network in the Republic of Ireland without meaning to.

To avoid adding accidental charges to your bill, we’ve excluded the Republic of Ireland from our monthly fair use limit of 12GB. And we’ve also removed the daily roaming charge of £2.

There are no fair use limits for making calls or sending texts while roaming in a Go Roam in Europe destination.

Some networks abroad are switching off their 2G and 3G coverage, so having a 4G-ready device is more important than ever.

To stay connected, you’ll need a 4G device with 4G calling abroad enabled in your settings.

Accidental roaming in Northern Ireland

If you live close to the Northern Irish border, you may connect to a network in the Republic of Ireland without meaning to.

To avoid adding accidental charges to your bill, we’ve excluded the Republic of Ireland from our monthly fair use limit of 12GB. And we’ve also removed the daily roaming charge of £2.

There are no fair use limits for making calls or sending texts while roaming in a Go Roam in Europe destination.

Roaming is what lets you use your phone while travelling abroad. To use it, data roaming must be switched on in your device settings.

You can use Go Roam or a Data Passport to save money on your phone bill while travelling abroad. 

If you get caught up in a natural disaster or a national or international emergency while you’re roaming abroad – don’t worry. 

The last thing you need to worry about is your phone bill, so we’ll take care of it.  

And, if a loved one is affected by an event abroad and you’ve been using your phone to keep in touch with them, we’ll help you out.

You can only use Go Roam for periodic travel, such as holidays or short breaks. To make sure all customers can benefit from roaming, we’ve put in place the following rules:

If you spend 2 complete months in 1 or more Go Roam destinations in a rolling 12-month period, we may suspend your international roaming services.  If that happens, you won’t be able to use your device or allowances abroad. We’ll let you know in advance if this is going to happen.

To avoid your roaming services being suspended, stop using them exclusively in Go Roam destinations and return to the UK.

If you spend a full 2 months abroad but some of that time is spent in a destination that isn’t included in Go Roam, this restriction won’t apply.
