Samsung Register Your Interest Prize Draw Terms & Conditions – December 2023
These terms and conditions are the rules which apply to this Prize Draw (as defined below) (the “Terms”). By submitting an entry, entrants will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by the Terms.
Promoter
1. Samsung Register Your Interest Prize Draw (the “Prize Draw”) is organised by Hutchison 3G UK Limited (trading as Three) of 450 Longwater Avenue, Green Park, Reading, Berkshire RG2 6GF (“Three” or “We”). The Prizes (as defined at paragraph 6 below) are administered and provided by Three.
Dates
2. To enter the Prize Draw, participants must register their interest in accordance with paragraph 4 below between 00:01 on 20th December 2023 (“Prize Draw Commencement Date”) and 23:59 on 16th January 2024 (“Prize Draw Closing Date”) (together, the “Prize Draw Period”).
Eligibility
3. To be eligible to enter the Prize Draw, entrants must be a Three customer, over 18 years of age and a UK resident (“Eligible Entrants”). Entrants may be required to provide photographic ID to prove their eligibility. This Prize Draw is not open to employees of Three, its agents, contractors, consultants, or anyone professionally connected with the Prize Draw.
Entry
4. To enter the Prize Draw, Eligible Entrants must:
a. register their interest in the upcoming Samsung handset product January 2024 launch (the “Launch”) within the Prize Draw Period by:
i. completing the entry form online at https://www.three.co.uk/register-your-interest/samsung;
ii. completing the entry form in any Three stores at https://www.three.co.uk/partners/samsung-retail; or
iii. calling the Three contact centre ; and
b. purchase directly from Three a selected new Samsung handset (in any colour and memory variant) released in the Launch on any pay monthly device contract between 00:01 on 17th January 2024 and 23:59 on 30th January 2024 (“Qualifying Device”). Purchases made via any third party (e.g. via any third party website or affiliate partner) shall not be eligible. Personal details including name, telephone number and email address will be captured (“Qualifying Entries”).
Rules
5. The following rules shall also apply to the Prize Draw:
a. Only one entry per Eligible Entrant will be considered by Three and entered into the Prize Draw. Multiple entries will render all entries made by that person void.
b. Late entries after the Prize Draw Closing Date will not be taken into consideration in winner selection.
c. Each Eligible Entrant warrants that all information submitted by them is true, accurate and complete and Three is not responsible for any information which is invalid or incomplete.
d. Three reserves the right to exclude and/or disqualify any entry which it deems, in its sole and absolute discretion: (i) to be offensive or inappropriate; (ii) fails to comply with these Terms; and/or (iii) to be contrary to the spirit or intention of the Prize Draw.
Prize
6. 24 individual winners will each receive £400, (“Prize”) credited by Three to their Three mobile account in accordance with paragraph 11 (each a “Winner” and together the “Winners”).
7. The Prize excludes any additional costs (including without limitation): upfront cost, out-of-bundle charges attributable to the plan, and any monthly recurring costs during the length of the contract (including contractual price increases).
8. Only one Prize per Winner will be awarded. Prize allocation remains at Three’s sole and absolute discretion.
Selection of winners
9. The Winners will be randomly selected by a computer process from all Qualifying Entries, under independent supervision, from all Qualifying Entries on or around 15th March 2024. The decision will be final and Three will not enter into any correspondence.
Contacting the winners
10. Reasonable efforts will be made by Three to contact the Winners of each Prize via the email address or telephone number used to enter this Prize Draw on or around 15th March 2024. Eligible Entrants should check their junk mail and/or telephone voice messages within 72 hours of this date. Three shall not be responsible in the event a Winner does not claim the Prize because they have failed to do so. If the Winner of a Prize cannot be succesfully contacted, does not claim the Prize within 72 hours of notification (by responding to Three), or is unable to comply with these Terms, Three reserves the right to offer the relevant Prize to another Eligible Entrant (who will be selected in the same manner described in paragraph 9). Failure to respond or failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the Prize.
Redeeming your Prize
11. The Prize will be applied to the Winners’ Three mobile account associated with their Qualifying Device in the form of a monthly account credit to the value of £400 by 22nd March 2024. Receipt of the Prize requires payment of first bill and all other contractual costs in full and on time in accordance with Three’s Terms of Service. The Prize cannot be applied to any early termination costs payable under Three’s Terms of Service. If any Winner cancels their contract during the minimum term, payments due under those terms will be payable in full. The Winners may also be required to submit additional valid identification before receiving the Prize. Acceptable forms of identification remain at Three’s sole and absolute discretion. Each Winner warrants that all information submitted by them is true, accurate and complete and Three is not responsible for any information which is invalid or incomplete, including any contact details. Three shall use reasonable endeavours, subject to these Terms, to fulfil the Prizes as soon as reasonably possible after the Winners have claimed it and complied with these Terms.
Privacy
12. Any personal data collected by Three in connection with this Prize Draw will be used to administer and fulfil this Prize Draw. Information that entrants supply when entering the Prize Draw will be used only in accordance with Three’s Privacy Policy and these Terms. Three’s use of such information will also be subject to Three’s Privacy Notice contained in section 13 of the Terms and Conditions governing the use of Three’s Services. 13. The surname and county of the Winners can be obtained by sending an email to hubcompetitions@three.co.uk within 90 days of the Prize Draw Closing Date. If you object to this information being published or made available, please contact the Promoter. In such circumstances, the Promoter must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.
General:
14. The Prize is not transferable or exchangeable. No alternatives will be offered. Further, We reserve the right to amend these Terms (including altering the Prize) at any time without notice by updating these Terms and publishing them at three.co.uk/terms. No communications will be entered into by Three regarding this.
15. All third party terms and conditions relating to the Prize Draw or the Prize itself are beyond Three’s control. Three cannot accept responsibility and will not be liable for any failures to abide by any or all third-party terms applying to the Prize.
16. Three cannot accept responsibility for entries lost, corrupted, or delayed in transmission or for the failure by any Winner to check their emails (including junk folder) or voice messages. Under no circumstances will Three (or its parent, subsidiaries and affiliated companies) be liable (unless such liability cannot be lawfully excluded) for any losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from or in any way connected with any errors, defects, interruptions, malfunctions or delays in the Prize Draw or the Prize (or any aspects of them), and Three excludes liability, to the fullest extent permitted by law, for any loss or damage caused to a winner of the Prize arising out of or connected to the Prize or this Prize Draw. Statutory rights are not affected.
17. Entry into the Prize Draw signifies your acceptance of these Terms. These Terms are governed by English law.
