Setting the right Spend Cap allows you to roam without overspending, or restricting your allowance. You can also use an Add-on to cover your usage.
You can change or remove your Spend Cap any time via your online account, to ensure you don’t spend more than you want to.
You can switch data roaming on and off on your device. Turning it off stops apps running in the background and using data, but you’ll still be able to call and text.
Turning roaming off also prevents inadvertent roaming, which happens when your phone connects to a different country close by.
You’ll receive a text confirming the roaming costs in that desintation. You'll then be charged accordingly, unless you have an Add-on or an inclusive plan.
